One hundred seven: I am content. I am at my mother-in-law's house right now. My sister-in-law is here too...well, kinda. Her mama lives in town, so she and her kiddos are there right now, but they were with us earlier and will be with us again tomorrow. All of our fellas will be together tomorrow headed to NYC. We managed to get the ladies (and Silas) together pretty easily on short notice...not always an easy feat.
Tonight, we went to dinner together. Then we did a slight switcheroo - Jackie, Silas, and I went to grab some things from Food Lion; while Lindsey, Ariel, and Savannah went to Lindsey's Granny's real quick. We met back at the house and hung out for a bit. The kids all got in the bath and Ariel and Silas each ate fudgesicles in there. They were all really cute. Really cute. Jackie took some pictures. Then we read some books and played with some toys and said goodnight. Jackie and I stayed up for a while talking, but, since she has work tomorrow, we called it a night a few minutes ago. I really enjoy talking with her like that.
Tomorrow, Jackie is working in the morning, but we are planning to have a picnic at the park when she gets home. Lindsey and her kids are coming over here sometime for that. We're making sandwiches and eating fruit dipped in pudding. It's going to be really fun. I'm hoping to get some good pictures of this as well.
We miss our guys, but it is really nice to enjoy the girl time too. Our group has a different dynamic without the men. Both ways are good.
I am so blessed by my family. I love the family I married. Thank you, God, for placing me here. Thank you for the way we connect, for the things we have in common. Thank you for our friendship that has grown through family ties. Thank you for our perfect little ones.
What's this about? I decided on my birthday to make a commitment to being intentionally thankful. I challenged myself to post one thing I am thankful for everyday this year.
