The End of Girlie Week

Day One hundred ten: Our long week is coming to an end in a couple of hours! Yay! Today ended up pretty good.

Ariel and I got back home this afternoon. She finished up her nap and then we played outside. Though it was an overcast day, it was still really nice. We played in her new sandbox from Grandma and Grandaddy with her new toys from Grandma. Then she moved her chairs around the yard. Yes, chairs - plural. She is so cute with her new chairs. This week has been such a bad week not to have my flip video camera. There have been so many sweet things she's done that I wish I got on video. I hope I can catch some of them next week while they are still kind of new.

While she was moving chairs, I weeded the garden and discovered 4 of my potato plants are breaking through the dirt!!! I wasn't sure they were gonna actually grow, so WOW I am SO excited!!!

I think everyone was glad to be home. The dogs have been alternating between snoring and playing since we walked in the door. Ariel went to bad better than she has in a while and I haven't heard a peep - talking or coughing - since I left her room.

Mommy moment - she is so perfect; I love that little girl. Earlier she was playing and I was watching her. There was a moment where I really saw her. I'm so amazed by her very existence.

Jason will be home very soon, but, sadly, he didn't make it in time to kiss Ariel goodnight like he hoped he would. He'll be here in the morning though. She'll be thrilled! I really can't wait for her to see him.

Thank you, God, for the refreshing breeze today. Thank you for my sweet, funny, happy girl. Thank you for making the potatoes grow! Thank you for my sweet dog learning to let Ariel give her hugs. Thank you for all the good things from my girls week with Ariel.

What's this about? I decided on my birthday to make a commitment to being intentionally thankful. I challenged myself to post one thing I am thankful for everyday this year.
