Day Fifty: At night, I get to do a little extra reading. Not as much as I'd like, but some. I choose sleep over reading most nights these days. Right now, I'm reading Les Miserables. Last month, I read Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights. These kind of books lend themselves to slow reading in my opinion, so a little each night isn't so bad. So far, Les Miserables is interesting, but not terribly engrossing. I find it a refreshing perspective regarding the Christian faith.
I am very thankful for books. So many books can help with the Race. Additionally, God communicates to us through His Word in The Book. Thank you, God, for books as guidance, as entertainment, as perspective, as fun, as correction. Thank you for providing the Bible in such an understandable format. Thank you God for books, especially Your Book.
What's this about? I decided on my birthday to make a commitment to being intentionally thankful. I challenged myself to post one thing I am thankful for everyday this year.
