Good family

Day Forty-seven: Today was a good day. I missed my husband (again), but otherwise it was good. Ariel and I woke up early and she was in a really good mood. We went to church and she started getting tired cause she woke up early, but she was still in a sweet mood. She fell asleep almost immediately when we got into the car after church and went down for her nap with no fuss at all at the house...then she slept three and a half hours. Tired baby. She woke up in a great mood.

We spent the afternoon with my sister and her husband, Tab and Mat. We talked a lot and caught up on life. We visited with Zoe, their energetic dog. Ariel loves this dog. She giggled or rather squealed the entire time we were at my sister's house because of this dog. Then we loaded up in the car and Jason drove to meet us all for dinner and more visiting. Before he arrived, we shopped a little. I let Ariel walk instead of ridinig in the stroller. She did great until the last 2 minutes in the last store. We were about to have a mommy - baby battle of wills, but we were finished so I decided we could wait for another day to wage that war. Jason had arrived and we headed to dinner at TGIFridays. Great company, great conversation, great food.

After dinner, Ariel was exhausted again. She fell asleep in her carseat within minutes. Sometimes I just want to watch her sleep. I love that little girl so much.

Tonight, I am really content and happy. I feel like we had a great day. Church went smoothly (except for all the extra energy oozing out the kids during class), Ariel was in a good mood all day, had a great visit and evening with my sister and brother, Jason even drove all the way to VA just to meet us for dinner.

Thank you, God, for a good, good day. The sunshine was relieving and uplifting. Thank you even more for time to reconnect with family. I cannot express how nice it was to sit and share life this afternoon and evening. Please bless my sister's little family - bring them peace and comfort and wisdom. I really love them.

What's this about? I decided on my birthday to make a commitment to being intentionally thankful. I challenged myself to post one thing I am thankful for everyday this year.
