Visible Ending and Beginning

Day Seventy-five: Each day is new.

Today was not great. Ariel was clingly and fussy all day long. (I know I should appreciate that she wants me to hold her and one day she won't. I'm sorry...usually I do better at this.) Jason left yesterday after lunch and won't be back till about 2 am. His schedule is wearing on me today. (I know it comes with its blessings. This I also do better at appreciating. Again, sorry.)

I still have a few things I want to get done tonight. Then, I'm going to sleep and tomorrow will be a BRAND new day. It will be fresh. I will be fresh. Jason will be home. Ariel will be rested and happy (I hope). It will be busy, as Mondays are for me, but it won't be today.

Thank you, God, for 24 hour days, each with a beginning and an end. Thank you for breaking days apart. Thank you for my bed that is waiting for me to put an end to this not so great day. It's so much more bearable knowing the end is in sight. Thank you for Ariel's hugs today. Thank you for the times that she listened well today. Thank you for the ways Jason was able to minister today. Please bless his efforts and make them fruitful. Thank you for giving him an understanding and compassionate heart.

What's this about? I decided on my birthday to make a commitment to being intentionally thankful. I challenged myself to post one thing I am thankful for everyday this year.
