Making Life Easier

Day Fifty-six: I am thankful simple conveniences. I am thankful for cell phones because I know Jason is safe right now as he is driving home in this crazy rain and dropping temps. I am thankful for our freezer that lets me save leftovers for a later meal. Tonight, we had a freezer meal and it was easy, quick, and good. I am thankful for our free, used microwave that let me heat up yummy brown rice to go with dinner in just 90 seconds. I am thankful for our refrigerator for keeping our food fresh longer. I am thankful for our washing machine and dish washer. I am thankful for sippy cups with no-spill stoppers. I am thankful for our indoor plumbing and hot water heater that allowed me to give Ariel a nice warm bath tonight. I am thankful for USB connections that let me load videos off my FLIP, share photos from my camera, transfer files, and print coupons on our printer quick and easy. I am thankful for so many things that make life go more smoothly.

Thank you, God, for man's ingenuity and creativity. Thank you for things that make things more simple, so I can focus more on what is important and less on what is necessary. I get to give more hugs, read more books, build more block towers, dance more dances and sing more songs just for giggles. Thank you, God, for these blessings that give me time and many more blessings.


What's this about? I decided on my birthday to make a commitment to being intentionally thankful. I challenged myself to post one thing I am thankful for everyday this year.
