Day Sixty: Today we spent some much needed time outside. The sun was shining enough that we could stay out awhile. Nice. We even took Truck with us. Poor Halie stayed home this time. She'll be alright. Don't feel too bad for her. We took Jason's geomate jr. out to find some caches. We also wanted to go for a walk and find a playground. We ended up at Fun Junction. I didn't realize the place was so neat. There's a frisbee golf course, a very nice kids' playground, a skatepark, a picnic shelter, basketball courts, a long bike/walking trail, a fishing pond, paddle boats and canoes. It's really very neat.
We walked around the pond and took lots of pictures. Truck loved getting to run and walk. She loved the birds, the people, all the other dogs. Then we took Ariel over to the playground. She thought it was great. I'm always surprised by how many kids Jason attracts when we are at playgrounds. He doesn't have to do anything; they are just drawn to him. We hunted down a few caches and called it a day. A really good day.
Thank you, God, for time with my family. Thank you mild weather. Thank you for Saturday being a day off...and other days too sometimes. Thank you for public facilities like Fun Junction and other parks. Thank you for the people who keep them clean, safe, and fun. I hope we can go back soon.
What's this about? I decided on my birthday to make a commitment to being intentionally thankful. I challenged myself to post one thing I am thankful for everyday this year.
