Big Sand Pile

Day Sixty-five: We all visited Jockey's Ridge this afternoon.

Silas, my nephew, got to get some energy out running and jumping. He had one moment of distress when he rubbed sand from his sleeve into his eyes. Yuck. Poor guy.

Ariel walked on the sand and looked around, but she didn't really love it. I think our whole adventure was just too close to nap time. She walked. She laughed. She cried. Over and over.

Savannah, my niece, was in her wrap with her mommy the whole time. All cozy. Just watching. She's so sweet.

My favorite part was kinda silly. On the way into the park, there is a driveway of colored broken glass. It had been sparkling at me from the highway all week and I just wanted to see what it was. I hoped it was sparkly rocks, but the glass was interesting too.

After the glass and the sand, we all ate a picnic lunch under a big beach tree.

Thank you, God, for these precious moments. Thank you for each of these beautiful children.

What's this about? I decided on my birthday to make a commitment to being intentionally thankful. I challenged myself to post one thing I am thankful for everyday this year.
