Lazy Vacation Day

Day Sixty-six: Today was definitely a lazy day. It was overcast and wet or rainy all day. It was windy and chilly, too. We mostly stayed inside and watched movies. We made one trip out to the kite store. Ariel loved the colors and toys and listened really well the whole time.

Sadly, Chris and Lindsey and company left a day early. Things were a lot quieter when our group shrunk by four. We had a really good week with everyone though. I'm so glad we were able to get this week together.

Thank you so much, God, for the generous spirit with which this week was made available to us. Thank you for flexible jobs that allowed us all to make time for a coordinated vacation with only a couple months notice. Thank you for a family to spend time with!!



What's this about? I decided on my birthday to make a commitment to being intentionally thankful. I challenged myself to post one thing I am thankful for everyday this year.
