Some other Woolards

Day Twenty-three: I love my family. Tonight, I am especially thankful for my brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Chris and Lindsey. They have two amazing little ones too. They have been visiting us on Thursdays this month because Chris is teaching a class at MACU. This is a treat because we live about 2 hours apart and since we all have kids now, we just don't get to hang out at much as we'd like. We are really close in age and life in so many ways. We get along really well, all four of us. They might be our best couple friends, even though they are family. I really enjoy spending time with them. Very few people are blessed with such good relationships within family. We are.

It goes beyond just getting along and having things in common though. I respect Chris and Lindsey. The way they live their lives, they way they treat one another, the way they parent, the choices they make, their service to God. They challenge me to be a better person, mother, wife, Christian. It is not uncommon for us to consider what Chris and Lindsey did when we have a decision to make. They are good people and I'm glad they are part of "my" people.

Thank you, God, for family. Thank you for the support, accountability, entertainment (and so much more)provided by family. Thank you in particular for including Chris, Lindsey, Silas, and Savannah in my family. I am blessed.

What's this about? I decided on my birthday to make a commitment to being intentionally thankful. I challenged myself to post one thing I am thankful for everyday this year.
