Wordless Wednesday: Playing Fetch

Ariel knows how to throw a ball now and as a result she wants to play fetch with the dogs just like we do.

The dogs don't understand.

Come here, Halie!! (see that finger)

Ok, I'll just go to her...

Hmm, they moved when I approached

I'll just follow...oh yay, Truck has a ball too!

Hmm...she ran away too

Back to Halie then

Notice Halie knows the ball is no longer hers, but Ariel's

She learned this over the last year: Anything Ariel touches is off limits for me.

That doesn't me she doesn't want those things still...

Oh, how Halie wants that ball

Oh, how Ariel wants her to take it

But Halie didn't - she remembered her lesson

Let's try again, I'll throw it for you, Halie.

I'm new at this - it takes a lot of effort

Truck's turn

Hey Truck, wanna play fetch?

Truck knew the lesson too - she let Ariel take the ball and throw it

Yet she just stood there...looking longingly at her ball

...well at least it used to be her ball

Ariel's gonna try again

Yay!!! Truck finally gave it! Success!

Here Truck, I'll just give you the ball.

Truck moves away like she's thinking,
"No, I really don't think I should"

Heartbreak!

She threw the ball; see how Truck is walking in the other direction.

Why won't they just play ball with me?

I love how she tucks things under her arm.
