Meal Planning Monday 5/3/10

I'm going back to the more detailed meal plan style (listing breakfasts and lunches for each specific day) because I think our meals will be more balanced each day this way. I don't have to go by it if it doesn't work out, but so often having a plan makes cooking/prepping easier. If I don't have a plan, we tend to eat the same (easiest) thing everyday. That pattern doesn't lend itself to health necessarily.

I'm hoping we'll get out and pick some strawberries this week, so I'm adding those in and we'll eat them as snacks and desserts that aren't listed. Yay for strawberries!

We're still spring cleaning, so I added those assignments for extra motivation. We got the living room done over the weekend. We'll get to Ariel's room and the dreaded kitchen next week. I also need to finish planting in the garden this week - need to put out some cucumbers and zucchini at least.

Monday-River Day at MACU - plan to clean our bedroom
Breakfast: Raisin Bran, milk
Lunch: PB&J sandwiches out of the freezer, grapes, water
Dinner:Broccoli/Chicken Stir fry (we didn't make this last week :)), rice

Tuesday-Remi - maybe Harris Teeter for triples, it's my last shot this week - plan to clean play room and dining/guest room

Breakfast: Eggs, fruit salad, milk
Lunch: LO stir fry, bananas
Dinner:Meatloaf patties, mashed potatoes, greenbeans

Wednesday-Final meeting of Study Skills - Planning meeting/small group - plan to clean bathroom
Breakfast: fruit and yogurt salad (yogurt, granola, apples, grapes, walnuts)
Lunch: Corn dog muffiins, tomato soup
Dinner: in VA...???
 
Thursday-Remi - Leave for CCYC
Breakfast: Spinach and fruit smoothies
Lunch: Ham, Egg, and Cheese bagels, mandarin oranges
Dinner: Meat and bean burritos, sweet potatoes
 
Friday, Saturday, Sunday - CCYC - eating out...with coupons and of the cooler? - and without Ariel
Breakfasts: Bagels, cream cheese, strawberries, various fruit muffins
Lunch: PB&J sandwiches, corndog muffins, strawberries
I'll try to find coupons, so we can eat out cheap.
 
Sunday-CCYC (same as above for breakfast, lunch) - pick up Ariel - HOME
Dinner: Chicken nuggets, apple sauce, grean beans
