Toenails and Flosspicks

Day One hundred twenty one: Back to the 30-day challenge. Day Five. Main passage Ephesians 5:15-21.

"always giving thanks to God the Father for everything" (Ephesians 5:20)

"every good and perfect gift is from above" (James 1:17)

An interesting question to consider when evaluating your thankfulness - "If tomorrow's supply depended on today's thanksgiving, how much would I have tomorrow."

The main challenge for today is to be intentionally thankful for everything. Especially focusing on the little things and things you might never think about being thankful for. Things like toe nails that protect my toes from the MANY things I bump into or drop on my feet. Today I will give thanks by making an "everything" list.

I am thankful for these, God. Thank you.

Toe nails
Toes - I'm thinking of balance and grip.
Joints - Thanks to Sid the Science Kid for helping me remember this one
Cups
Ice
Electricity
Plastic
Containers
Eye lids - sometimes I just need the peace of closed eyes
Stories
Car seats
Seat belts
Air bags
Stop lights
Lines on roads
Street lights
Head lights
Measuring cups

This could go on forever. I like the concept. I need to have this kind of thankfulness. It is an attitude. A style of living.

Help me live this way, God.  Thank you for all of these things and all those I haven't mentioned. I am so blessed. Thank you.

What's this about? I decided on my birthday to make a commitment to being intentionally thankful. I challenged myself to post one thing I am thankful for everyday this year.
