Recent Recipes: Sweet Treats

I've been trying some new recipes that have turned out pretty good. I thought you might enjoy them too. These are some of the recent sweets.

Perfect Pound Cake - Wonderful. Uses a can of sprite. Fun. I made some strawberry topping with this. Mmmm. I don't have a bundt, so I cooked it two loaf pans. Yummy. I love the crusty edges.

Chocolate Spiders - Yummy snack. Not healthy, but who needs healthy all the time, right? I added some butter and melted the chocolate and peanut butter on the stove rather than in the microwave. I've only used creamy peanut butter and they were still great. We often have these fried noodles left over from chicken chow mein; this is a fun recipe to sweeten them up into a snack. I'm thinking I can pretty much cover anything with butter, chocolate, and peanut butter though and still love it.

Granny's Chocolate Cobbler - Wow! So easy. So good. Pretty commom ingredients too - I bet you have them all in your kitchen. I made this for friends and they all loved it. Seriously, loved it.

Thick and Chewy Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies - Also made for friends to rave reviews. I have a batch in the freezer-can't wait to see how they turn out. They are really thick, but nice and chewy. I prefer chewy cookies. I used store bought creamy peanut butter and left everything the same in the recipe. I made "superfine" sugar from plain old granulated sugar by spinning in a few times in my chopper. Worked fine. I added more chocolate chips. Yum.
