Something to Think About

Day one hundred seventy two: One of my friends posted on facebook that she deleted her tumblr and twitter accounts today. She realized she was spending more time reading blogs and such than her Bible. She's going cold turkey.

Something to think about for me. I could definitely say the same thing. That upsets me. I've thought before about doing a technology fast of some sort. I think I am inspired to move from thinking to action. I'll let you know what direction I take this (at least I think I will).

Thank you, God, for my friend Joy. Thank you for the relationship You have with her. Thank you for being worth more than all the other things we fill our lives with. Thank you for being patient with us. Please show me what things I am allowing to come between us.

What's this about? I decided on my birthday to make a commitment to being intentionally thankful. I challenged myself to post one thing I am thankful for everyday this year.
