Day one hundred fifty nine (a few hours tardy): This week was pretty busy. Lots of eating out and visiting with friends and family. Good busy. I enjoyed spending time with people I don't see all that often (and some that I do).
Ariel was cute and sweet most of the time. The other little bit was spent being shy usually. She is getting really good at being comfortable with all the different people she is around, but walking into a busy room or crowd still requires a few minutes for her to relax. She just wants to be held in these moments or at least hang on to mommy's or daddy's leg.
I'm predicting this week will be relatively busy as well, but not like last week. That's good because summer camp season is upon us. That means Jason will be traveling A LOT very soon. I don't look forward to this time of the year, but I do appreciate what he is doing. Even more, I am thankful that he has this opportunity to be used by God. That's what we should be all about.
Spending time with Ariel and me is very important. Helping in various ways around the house has to be done. Connecting with friends and family is a key part of our life.
But sharing Jesus is crucial. Worshiping God and acting on our adoration faithfully is what lasts. He does these things at camp. We miss him, but we are supportive.
Thank you, God, for summer camps and the ways they change lives for You. Thank you for using our imperfect, sincere attempts to reach young people. Thank you for making Jason an effective tool at summer camps. Please bless his efforts this summer. Please continue preparing the students going to camp this summer, help them to be receptive to Your message. Please help me to remember that what he is doing is the better thing.
What's this about? I decided on my birthday to make a commitment to being intentionally thankful. I challenged myself to post one thing I am thankful for everyday this year.
