Day one hundred fifty seven: Right this minute, I'm listening to humming through the wall. Jason is putting Ariel to bed, as is our nightly ritual. Sometimes its quick and easy, sometimes not so much. Lately, she has needed a little more calm down time to be ready for bed. Not in the crying way baby, but more of the getting older and understanding that going to bed means no more playing kind of way.
Anyhow, Jason has started humming "Hushabye Mountain" from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang during the final moments of the goodnight process. I think it is so sweet. I love listening. Its a really calming song. I think its a wonderful Daddy-Daughter time. I hope they always have these moments and she remembers them at least a little when she grows up.
Thank you, God, for the love Jason has for our little girl. He is a good daddy. She's a blessed little girl.
What's this about? I decided on my birthday to make a commitment to being intentionally thankful. I challenged myself to post one thing I am thankful for everyday this year.
