Okay so I have to confess this. My last post was about the 30 day giving challenge. I know I said we were seriously considering it...we were. Then we decided to do it - mostly because we really want to do it, but also because we were rushed. I only found out about it a day before November 1, Day One. Turns out I needed more time.
I want to do this for a whole month and I want to do it right. However, I didn't make time to think about it on Sunday, Day One - so we didn't do anything that day. Then Monday, Day Two came and I didn't figure anything out for that day either. So end of story - we're going to do the 30 day giving challenge during a different month. Hopefully December. That's another great giving month, right?
So, yes I was so excited and even posted about it and no we didn't do it, but we're going to and I'm going to use this month to do some planning ahead of time to make sure we do it right. However, I don't want to plan too much. I'm hoping the exercise will make generosity more second nature, so there has to be a little spontaneity to it. I guess maybe the "planning" will be getting our minds into it.
That's my confession. I got too excited and didn't follow through, but we're gonna. Really, we are...now you have more time to decide you want to do it, too.
