I'm not completely exhausted anymore! Yeah, I still get tired on the more difficult days. You know the ones where Ariel cries for seemingly no reason at all off and on for hours all day - like yesterday. However, even on those days we're very happy and Jason is really considerate. He goes out of his way to relieve me from bouncing duty when he gets home from work. Bouncing is usually her choice of soothing methods - next eating of course. Actually, yesterday she was really tired and just refused to give in - I don't think she napped for more than 30 minutes at a time all day and there were only 3 or 4 of those. Today has been going much better.
Halie has terrible gas! She has been sharing it with us for a couple of weeks now... maybe her bowels are sick. Who knows. She seems fine otherwise. But it is BAD!!!
Life has been kinda busy here lately. Last week was our four year anniversary. On Friday, we went to Wilson and Ariel stayed the night with Grandma and Grandaddy Woolard while Jason and I went to Raleigh. Which was really awesome of them to do for us! Our first night away from each other. It turned out pretty nice - though I was more than ready to be back with my baby when we got back to Wilson. We ended up staying Saturday night in Wilson, so we could spend some time with Jason's parents. It was nice and relaxing - though Ariel didn't want to go to sleep when I did and Jason was busy getting ready for Sunday. Then we had to get up at 5 am to go to church in VA. After church, we went to my parents and spent the day with them. Jason watched football and I did a little shopping with my mom and Ariel. This was also a nice visit, but we were ready to be home when we got there. It had been a long weekend.
Monday - man I can't even remember what went on Monday. Maybe we just tried to recover from the weekend. Then Tuesday was all day Christmas shopping. Jason went with Steve and I went with Ariel and my mom. I think it is all done - almost. Ariel was really good while we shopped - maybe that's why she was so irritated yesterday.
Well, I think this has been a really boring post! Maybe I'll stop here. I might have something interesting to write about eventually.
Ariel update: She is now 7.5 weeks old. She is getting really great at holding up her head. When I weighed her this weekend she was 14 lbs! Her grasp is awesome! She keeps ripping my glasses off of my face when I hold her. She is seeing things around her and smiling some. Also, she is making verbal noises that aren't all negative!! It's getting really fun to interact with her. She sleeps great too! Last night she went to bed at 9:30 pm and didn't wake till 4:30 am to eat and went right back to sleep till 7:30. Whoo hoo!
